Autumn currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Faculty and Staff Development, providing oversight to employee engagement and leadership development and the hiring process. She creates and facilitates leadership development opportunities both independently and in teams and work closely with Human Resources department to ensure compliance in hiring, employee grievance issues, on boarding and off boarding. She partners with a variety of external and internal stakeholders to ensure proper creation and implementation of new or existing business processes while contributing to career transition programs and meaningful staff development.
Whether in the classroom working with students one on one or as a school administrator creating and implementing programs to support students academically, practically and emotionally, the guiding principal in her life has been the transformative power of education and the need for greater accessibility to education. Autumn is currently enrolled in Pepperdine University’s doctoral program in Organizational Leadership and expects to graduate in May of 2017. Her dissertation and research is in the area of adult learning, particularly in the online environment. As both an adult learner and instructor, she has seen first hand the importance of collaboration and inclusion in order to foster meaningful connections between adult learners and content.
