SharePoints are more than places to store, organize, share and access information. They can also be used as hubs of learning, training and sharing of information between employees. Setting up Share Points using adult learning theories allows employees to be contributors to their learning experiences by giving a place to to become learners and teachers. Giving employees the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to SharePoint platforms increases engagement and learning.

Following this discussion, you’ll gain an understanding on how to successfully:

  • Motivate employees to learn and grow professionally by focusing on four main factors: success, volition, value and enjoyment.
  • Understand the importance of conducting a needs assessment prior to beginning any professional share point hosted training course and sharing clear goals and expectations of the course as well as clearly defining the roles of the student.
  • Consider using case method teaching models to encourage employees to interact with one another to conduct an analysis of the situation and its causes, effects and possible recommendations
